Elegant Soiree Chunky Frame
I saw this quote at least a year ago and have wanted to put together a framed sailboat image with it ever since! I just love this quote because it reminds me that even if things don't go as planned, we can just change the plan to make it all work out.
I used a Big Shot Adhesive Sheet to attach the dsp to one of SU's Decore Elements Chunky Frames. These frames are really cool, and you can frame a photo, or artwork, as I have done here. I added some basic self-adhesive pearls to give it some texture. I also wrapped Baja Breeze seam binding around the whole thing, though you can't see it in these photos.
Supplies:
set- Unchartered Territory
cs- vanilla, baja breeze, elegant soiree dsp
ink- baja breeze
access- scallop trim border punch, big shot adhesive sheet, pearls, baja breeze seam binding, computer generated quote

Merry Christmas Summer! - love Blue
Our neighbor has given a Christmas card from her dog to our dog for the past few years. She always writes a funny note in them, too. This year I thought I'd have our dog (Blue) give her dog (Summer) a card, too. I got this set almost a year ago and have been dying to use it. Hope you like it Summer!

Welcome Baby Liam!
My nephew and his wife had a baby and I got to visit it last Friday. Isn't he so tiny and cute?!
I made this "baby carriage" for a decoration at the baby shower that was held back in Oct. I saved posting it until I could post a photo of the baby, too. I also made a quick and easy pop-up card with the Gift card I gave them. I copied the baby carriage from one Ruth posted on her blog over a year ago.

Peggy's Cute Christmas Card
I received this card from Peggy last week. Isn't it just the cutest? I love her clean style.
I still haven't sent out my cards and Christmas is next week! At least they're all made now (I finished stamping the envelopes last night). Now I just have to address & mail them. Is Christmas sneaking up on you? I can't wait to start my Christmas baking.

Happy Birthday Shelagh & Mike! (tomorrow)
I made this special card for my friend, Shelagh. Since we celebrated her birthday on Monday, I figure it's safe to post it today. It's based on a card I made with club a couple years ago. It's actually three rose red 3" x 3" cards (3"x6" folded to 3"x3") adhered with alternating 3" x 3" dsp cards (3"x6" folded to 3"x3") in an accordion fashion. I added more 3" x 3" squares of dsp to cover the rose red on the backside. It's hard to explain and I don't make videos (too technical for me, sorry). The whole thing is attached to a quarter sheet of Wild Wasabi that has dsp on it. Then there's a belly band to hold it all together.
Close ups of the fold out pages & tags
Supplies:
sets- simply said, it's your birthday (retired set from a punch box kit)
cs- wild wasabi, rose red, bashful blue, dsp (retired, sorry I can't remember the name of it))
ink- basic black pad, bashful blue pad, wild wasabi pad, rose red pad
access- small & large tag punches, tag corner punch (retired), three flowers punch (retired), sticky strip
My brother Mike's birthday is tomorrow, too. I mailed him a card, but forgot to photo it first. Anyway, a big old Happy Birthday to you Mike!

December Club, Card and Envelope Case, Simple Cards and Paper Bow
Last week I was showing a Card & Envelope Case I designed years ago. It goes together quickly, uses one 8.5 x 11" sheet of card stock, and holds about 4 cards and envelopes. I used Velcro as the closure for this one. You can leave me a comment and give me your e-mail address and I will e-mail you the directions.
Isn't it cool the way the Modern Label punch covers up the "25th of Dec." part of the image in the Tags 'til Christmas stamp set? We are also making paper bows. Click here to find the tutorial for them by Jessica Crawford on Split Coast Stampers. I eliminated the center loop, mini gbrads and pop up glue dos. Instead I used a large brad to assemble it (much easier in my opinion).
Supplies:
sets- serene snowflakes (any snowflake set will suffice), short and sweet, tags til christmas
cs- whisper white, Patterns Pack III dsp
ink- night of navy pad
access - decorative label & modern label punch, corner rounder, sticky strip, sponge, velcro, dimensionals, large brad, 1/16" hand held hole punch, eyelet border punch

Easy Card and Envelope Case, Sample #2
Here's another Card and Envelope Case (I first posted a sample 2 days ago). I was using up scraps of Greenhouse Gala dsp. I especially love the sunny look of the paper used here. The front flap just tucks under the Pear Pizzaz ribbon on this sample. I used the rock and roll technique again. I also inked the largest and smallest flower on the Daffodil Delight pad, took the ink off in the center with a blender pen (really? OK, I used my finger because I didn't feel like getting out my blender pen) and re-inked it with a Pumpkin Pie marker.

Easy Card & Envelope Case
Card & Envelope Case side A
Years ago I came across a pattern for a card holder. It was on the SU demonstrator website. However, it didn't hold envelopes. Since I love to design boxes that are practical I re-designed the case so it could hold 4 cards AND envelopes. Also, it uses one sheet of card stock. I've made many of these in the past, but didn't take photos before giving them away. So, before Thanksgiving I made a few samples to show you. We'll be doing a snowflake version of this for Club. Also, I am happy to share my pattern with you, if you give me credit. Just leave me a comment with your e-mail.
Card & Envelope Case Side B
I don't know if you can tell, but the blue flower is inked with Baja Breeze and then the edges are rolled on a Marina Mist pad (Rock and Roll Technique; huff to moisten and stamp.
Card & Envelope Case Open, with Card #1
Card #2
Card #3 & #4
Supplies for All:

cs- Whisper White, Greenhouse Gala dsp, Pear Pizzaz
ink- daffodil delight, baja breeze, marina mist, pear pizzaz, real red

Happy Thanksgiving!
We usually host Thanksgiving for both sides of our family, and this year is no exception. We'll have 20 people, which is a lot for Dave, but not for me. I'm so excited to see everyone! I always send out hand stamped invitations. I started with a River Rock card and added a layer of Apple Cider dsp (retired). I added a piece of Wild Wasabi, punched with the dotted ribbon punch and a layered focal point using circle punches and the scalloped circle punch.
Usually everyone sits wherever they want, but this year I made place cards. I cut fall colored card stock (2-7/8 x 5-1/2") and ran it through the Big Shot with the scallop envelop die. Then I added a 2-1/2" square of vanilla card stock, stamped with an old rainbow pad and wrapped natural hemp around it.
I made this darling insert for my simply adorned charm. I am anxious to make other inserts, especially for other holidays.
Happy Thanksgiving! Mary
