Spring Fling Stamp Camp

Project 1 CHOCOLATE BOOK. I got the idea for this from Suz Cole.

Supplies:
sets- Fifth Ave Floral, Things I Love
cs- printed pages (rules of chocolate) on whisper white cs, chocolate chip dsp, close to cocoa cs, chocolate chip cs, sweet pea dp
ink- pretty in pink (pip) pad, chocolate chip pad, close to cocoa pad, rose red pad, basic black marker
access- big shot, beautiful butterflies bigz die, 1/2" pip epoxy brads, 1/8" hand held punch, sticky strip

Project 2 MANHATTAN FLOWER TRI FOLD CARD. This idea comes from Barbara Jean Smith. Her tutorial can be found here.

Supplies:
sets- sincere salutations, kind and caring thoughts
cs- real red, very vanilla
ink- soft suede pad
access- vanilla satin ribbon, big shot, manhattan flower textured impressions folder, beautiful wings embosslit, tombo multipurpose glue, dimensionals

Project 3 Easy Easter Easel Card.
My upline, Tami, showed me how to make this simple easel card. You simply score a line in the middle of the card, fold it and place some sort of item with dimension on the inside about a third of the way up that will help it prop open. The focal image (in this case the bunny) is only attached on the lower half, so when the card is folded it stands up.

Supplies:
sets- chocolate bunny, fundamental phrases, well scripted
cs- so saffron, close to cocoa, pretty in pink, whisper white, certainly celery, sweet pea designer paper
ink- basic brown pad, chocolate chip craft pad
access- celery, & white narrow grosgrain ribbon, wide saffron grosgrain ribbon, heat tool & clear ep, paper snips, dimensionals, scallop edge, scallop oval, & wide oval punches, 1/16" handheld punch, 1/4" chocolate chip epoxy brads

Project 4 XL 2-Step Bird Punch Card
We cut off a portion of the chocolate chip base card, turned it 90 degrees and attached it to the card front. Before attaching it, we scallop trim punched one edge, ran it through the Big Shot with one of SU's exclusive texture plates, and added some ribbon and hemp twine. We also added the fun bird punch with two wings cut from the Sweet Pea dp and a branch punched from old olive. I'm amazed how many branches can be punched out of a little scrap!

Supplies:
sets- of the earth
cs- chocolate chip, whisper white, sweet pea dp, old olive
ink- old olive pad, taken with teal pad
access- wide old olive grosgrain ribbon, natural hemp twine, xl 2 step bird punch, scallop trim border punch, tombo multipurpose glue, big shot, SU backgrounds #1 texture plates, dimensionals

Earrings from Kim

Aren't these the cutest little earrings? My friend, Kim, surprised me with them last Thur. It was so fun opening the box and seeing these cute little boxes. And then opening each box to reveal the earrings! They match a number of necklaces I have from her. She makes jewelry, magnets, and coasters, etc. She sells them on Etsy and through her website: Sentimental Stones. Thanks so much Kim!!!!!

House Renovations Complete, Almost

This is our hall bathroom; where we painted, replaced the linoleum with tile, and put in new baseboards . Oh, I almost forgot; we also replaced the faucet, towel racks and light fixtures. The name of the paint color is "beach bum". That makes me want to visit the ocean! The color of the accent wall in our living room and bedroom is "head for the beach".

Here's the boy's bathroom, in Ray's room, where we painted. We put the same tile in it as in the hall bath and our master bathroom.

Ray wanted to have his room painted in shades of blue. The white ceilings and crown moulding really pulled it together. See that little white lamp shade? I'm going to stamp it!

Dave installed new closet doors in Chris' room himself. His mirrored closet doors broke years ago and I'm glad to finally close off the mess of his closet! Lol. His room is painted the same oyster color that we used in many of the other rooms of the house. Oh, we also got new carpet throughout the house. All I have left to show is some new lighting fixtures, after they are installed. Well, enjoy your weekend!

I'm having my Spring Fling Stamp Camp today and will post photos of the projects next week. Click here to take a peak at a couple of the cards we're making.

More House Renovations

We now have wood floors in our front entry, the kitchen, and down the hall to the boys' bedrooms. They also refinished the existing ones in the den and eating area off the kitchen. We have new crown molding in most rooms and fresh paint. We liked the paint colors in the living room so much that we used them in our bedroom, too! We found a terrific place to get new rugs and got one for the den and one for the eating area. We kept our old one for the front entry to save on expenses. We got new couches for the living room. I love that I can recline and be comfortable now! We ordered some new light fixtures for the front entry, living room and a coordinating chandelier for the formal dining room. I'll post photos of those after they come in and are installed. Tomorrow I'll post just a few more photos, then back to stamping!

House Renovations - Master Bathroom Complete

Do you remember this post of our gutted bathroom? Well, it's complete and I finally took some photos to show it off.

I'm loving our remodeled master bathroom. It has a custom made vanity and "up-John" (the cupboard above the toilet). Both the up-John and medicine cabinet are recessed into the wall so they hold much more than they appear to contain. The walk-in shower is totally "barrier free" and I love the little multicolored tile transition. I'm happy with the cultured onyx solid surface, which matches the sink. There's a great bench seat so I can sit to soap up and shampoo, etc. I can also step up on it (holding the grab bars) to close the window. Did I mention it has a heated floor that's totally programmable with timers?

Friday I'll post more photos of the house renovations.

Are you wearing your green today? My friend, Elaina, sent me this card. It's a pop-up card that's so fun! The SU set is retired now, and I can't think of the name! Oh well. I don't know if you can see it, but there's glitter on the leprechaun's hands and it looks like he's throwing gold around. Thanks Elaina!

Weekly Mail - Look what the stork brought!

My niece just had a little boy last week and this is the card I gave her when I visited them on Wed. I wanted to take a picture of him to post with it, but forgot my camera. He's so tiny and adorable.
