Happy Halloween from Pat

Pat Schulte
Pat gave me this adorable Halloween card.  The paper, Wicked Cool, is retired but is available on the Clearance rack while supplies last.  I liked the envelope she made (using our wonderful Simply Scored tool and diagonal plate) so much that I purchased some of the Wicked Cool dsp myself!  The stamp set, Googly Ghouls, and the googly eyes are available in the Holiday seasonal catalog.  Thanks again Pat!

Thank You Coach Molly and Ref Nancy!

Ray finished his rec league soccer season and we had our end of the season party at Fuddruckers last night.  I had an Elk burger and it was pretty good!  Coach Molly supplied an incredible cake ~ yumm.  I didn't bring a camera so I don't have photos of that.

Thanks to all the parents who made donations to Molly's thank you gift.  A few players weren't able to make it, so I'm posting these pictures so they can see what we gave her.  We had enough donations to also thank Nancy, our super dedicated ref.

All the players got a surprise!  Jonathan's mom took photos at the games all season.  She made a three page layout for each player with the photos she took and titled them "Go Cuties!"  They were great and the boys all seemed to enjoy them.

    Happy Birthday Elaina!

Happy Birthday Elaina, on the 8th.  We celebrated yesterday, so I didn't want to post this earlier.   I received a card myself with this sentiment for my 40th birthday.  I thought it was sooo funny!

I recreated the sentiment on my computer and stamped the image from a retired set called Wanda's Wit & Wisdom.

    Happy Birthday Rosa!

This is an easy, fun gift card pop-up birthday card I made for my house cleaner.  I soooo appreciate all she does!.  Her birthday is today and I sent this last week.  The gift card had all these cute cupcakes on it, so the Create-a-Cup Cake set was a natural choice.  I kept the color scheme simple with white, tempting turquoise and melon mambo.  The slits for the pop-up mechanism were created with the word window punch.

I had a delicious breakfast with a couple friends.  Wed. night Dave, my DH, made me a delicious dinner (gnocchi - yumm!).  Then on Thur he surprised me with a trip to San Francisco.  We saw two great museums and had a wonderful lunch.  Next week I'm meeting friends for lunch at one of my favorite restaurants, Pasta Pomadora.  It will be a birthday celebration for two of us.  Elaina's b-day is Oct. 8th.

    Confessions of a Lazy Stamper

This was a simple thank you card I made for Kathy, who let me borrow some summer starfruit dahlias.  I punched three blossoms of the new IC's and roughed them up a bit (actually I had these laying on my table from a class I had prepped).  Then I stamped images from the Mixed Bunch set and punched those out with my new 1-1/4" scallop circle punch (didn't know how much I would love this punch), crumpled them and layered them on the blossoms (again, the set, ink, and punch were on my table).  I added a dahlia to the center of each blossom (the cute little critters hadn't been put away yet).  I created the vase with my ornament punch and added a little baker's twine (all right, so the ornament punch out was leftover from a card sample I had made for that class.  I did have to pull the baker's twine out of a drawer).  Finally I hand drew stems with my gumball green marker (you guessed it; the marker was already out on my table).

So there you have it . . . Confessions of a lazy stamper!  I guess it pays not to clean up your stamping area!
