Ruffled Ribbon Class Cards

I copied this card from my downline, Cheryl.  I think it's gorgeous and so fun the way we colored the vases with dots and stripes.  I only changed the paper because i didn't have the wonderful watercolor dsp, which is absolutely gorgeous.  The venetian Romance dsp was a good substitute because it has a lot of the same colors.  I also made a version using the Really Retro dsp (below, front card), but didn't make it in class because we were already using coastal cabana ink on another card.  This is the only card which doesn't use the ruffled ribbon.

SUPPLIES:
sets - vivid vases, petite petals, lots of thanks
cs - crisp cantaloup, 5.5 x 8.5", island indigo, 3.75 x 3.25", very vanilla, 3.25 x 3" and 5.25 x 4" guts
ink - basic black pad, island indigo pad, crisp cantaloup pad and various markers
access - crystal effects (on the vases)

I received this card as a swap and decided to copy exactly.  Some people don't like using wheels and substituted one of the flower shop images. they stamped the flower all over the lower half in smokey slate and it was gorgeous!

SUPPLIES:
sets - a dozen thoughts
cs - coastal cabana. 4.25 x 11", smokey slate, 4 x 5.25", whisper white 2@ 3.75 x 5"
ink - smokey slate pad and coastal cabana pad
access - 4.5" coastal cabana ruffled ribbon, glue dots, daydream jumbo wheel

This card was inspired by Mary Beth's card that we made at the Wacky Stamper's Shoebox Swap in Vacaville.  I cut apart the tulips and the greeting.  I put the greeting on clear mount backing.  That way the tulips can easily be stamped with a different greeting or no greeting at all!

SUPPLIES:
sets - blessed easter
cs - calypso coral, 4.25 x 11", vanilla 3.25 x 4" and 4 x 5.25" guts
ink - baked brown sugar pad, calypso coral an pear pizzazz markers
access - big shot, deco label framelits, tulip frame TIEF or decorative dots TIEF, baked brown sugar ruffled ribbon, coral ribbon (retired), glue dots and dimensionals

I saw this card on a sideline's blog and copied it exactly.

SUPPLIES:
ses - flower shop, sincere salutations (retired) or the wetlands
cs - pistacio pudding, 8.5 x 5.5", very vanilla 2@ 4 x 5.25" and scraps
ink - pistacio pudding pad
access - 22" ribbon, mini glue dots and dimensionals, big shot and lacy brocade TIEF (retired)

February Club Projects

Heart Card
I embossed the envelope flap with the hexagon TIEF.  I always love the look that gives.   I copied this card from my friend Cheryl, who found it on Pintrest.  I gave the club members the option to make it a wedding or anniversary card, but everyone made it a valentine.

SUPPLIES:
sets - grateful greetings (retired) or delightful dozen or teeny tiny wishes.
cs - raspberry ripple and  whisper white
ink - raspberry ripple pad
access - tripple heart punch (retired), big shot and hexagon TIEF, rhinestones, raspberry ripple stiched satin ribbon

Ruffled Ribbon Card, front
This second card was a copy of my upline's with a few changes.  I used a get well saying because I don't have the "For You" sentiment from Chalk Talk.  Also, I replaced the Definition background with the French Script background.   What is cool about this card is using the 2 1/2" circle punch out that fits exactly on the double sided jumbo sticky rounds.   First peel off one side of the sticky round and adhere the cs circle to it.  Then ease the ruffled ribbon all around the edge easily adhering it.  Finally, stick the circle to the card front.

SUPPLIES:
sets - flower shop, delightful dozen, thoughts and prayers
cs - pistachio pudding, whisper white
ink - pistachio pudding pad, island indigo pad
access - pistachio pudding ruffled ribbon, island indigo chevron ribbon, jumbo sticky rounds, 2-1/2" & 1-1/4" circle punch, pansy punch, dimensionals

Happy Valentine's Day!

from Cathy Hostetler
I think this card is absolutely adorable!  You can't see it in the photo but the background is embossed with the retired clouds folder.  I wish SU would have put that one in the regular catalog.  At least I have it!
from Llinda Alcina
Isn't this cute?  Just love that glimmery pink heart.  I really like these crossover  DSP cards because they show off both sides of the paper.  Linda is a neighbor and I recently discovered she enjoys stamping, too!  What fun we have in store for us!

Well, my husband didn't get me any chocolate, so I guess I'll have to stamp!

Inkerbelles Prize Time, part 1 of 2

Yummy Treat

Card using SAB FREE kit

Banner Blast card

Card using the fun "fringe scissors" and scallop tag topper plus a SAB set

Card using the Word Bubbles bundle an SAB FREE banner punch

we got to keep the extra cork pieces and the extra twine from the first card
I earned an invitation to my Inkerbelles group quarterly Prize Time hosted by my upline, Tami Waddell, because of my sales.  So thank you for your purchases!

First off everyone had a twisty treat bag of M&M's waiting at their place.  This fun treat bag (minus the M&M's) is an item that can be earned through SU's Sale-a-bration (SAB) promotion for free with a $50 purchase.

In the morning we made 4 great cards using product from the occasions catalog and a SAB item.

Then we had lunch, hosted by Tami, and dessert while we talked shop.

After lunch we enjoyed more stamp time!  I'll show you those cards Wednesday.

Cheryl's Class Cards

Tuck Label Card - love that Watercolor Wonder dsp!

The front of the card becomes the inside on a tuck label card

Crystal Effects is used on the vases

Can you see the rhinestone on the second heart?

This was a Valentine card, but could easily be an anniversary or wedding card.
I took a "field trip" to Cheryl's class and was inspired.  I didn't make her 4th card because it was very similar to one I had done already.  We'll be making a version of the vases card at an upcoming class and a version of the heart card with my club.

Happy Birthday Peggy!

Happy Birthday Peggy!  I hope you have a great day and even better year!

I wanted to make Peggy a special card, but didn't have a lot of time so I used the stamp I was using on another project.  I was inspired by Mary Beth's card we had made at the Vacaville shoebox.

I mounted my tulip image on the wood block that came with it, but cut off the Easter greeting and mounted it on a piece of clear mount.  Now I can use the image and the greeting separately.

SUPPLIES:
stamp - Blessed Easter, The Wetlands
cs - vanilla, elegant eggplant
ink - elegant eggplant pad, calypso coral and pear pizzazz markers
access - big shot, tulip frame TIEF, deco label framelits

Shoebox Winners

Margaret's card was voted to be the favorite

We were supposed to thread the ribbon through the holes and put pearls between (on the front), but I couldn't thread the ribbon.  Margaret's card was much cuter

Mary Beth's card was my favorite!  We will make a version of this card at an upcoming class.
