SUO Challenge #149 – Weddings Are Here! Best Wishes Patricia!

Wedding Tunnel Card, front
Wedding Tunnel Card, inside
My good friend got married for the first time at age 50.  I'm so happy for her!  The SUO Challenge is the perfect opportunity to showcase this card (make a wedding card).  I love tunnel cards.  They're easy and have a big WOW! factor. Pop over to SUO to check out the challenge.

set - Rose Wonder
cs - very vanilla, rose red
ink - rose red, marina mist, always artichoke and archival black pads
access - Simply Scoring tool, tear and tape, 2-1/2" circle punch, dimensionals

Tunnel card Directions:
  1. For a tall tunnel card use two half sheets, 8.5" x 5.5" each
  2. Score inside piece at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8"
  3. Punch a window in middle section
  4. line up the two pieces and stamp the inside image through the window
  5. Now score both pieces at 4.25"
  6. Stamp the inside outer-edge panels
  7. Stamp the front around the outside edges, and front main image on separate piece of vanilla.  Matt the front focal image on rose red cs. It will be adhered to the card front with dimensionals as the final step.
  8. Crease your folds on both pieces.
  9. The outside is simply folded like a standard A-2 card
  10. The inside piece is folded valley, mountain, valley and adhered with strong (tear and tape) adhesive to the card front (outer panels only) so the middle sticks out when it is opened.
  11. Adhere your focal rose matted image to the card front with dimensionals.
I hope this makes sense!

SUO Challenge #142

The Stampin Up' Only (SUO) Challenge for  Feb 16th to Feb 27th is to use SU Sale-a-bration products!  See the link here to play along.  I wasn't going to order any of the stamps, just consumable product, such as the Botannical Designer Vellum Stack.  That was my starting point.  Then I caved.  I pre-ordered the Peddle Pusher set and cool metallic glitter tape so I could get this set (What I Love).  I have another order coming tomorrow with the Party Pants set.  Too much fun!

sets - What I Love
cs - whisper white, elegant eggplant, wisteria wonder
ink - old olive, elegant eggplant, wisteria wonder
access - rhinestone jewels, bitty banner and 1" square punches

joy fold card
I made this card for my in-laws to take to a b-day party next weekend.  I figure that someone turning 100 years old deserves a special card, and I wanted to use some of the metallic glitter tape!  place the larger end of the black piece on the brushed gold piece with 1/2" border around it.  The left flap folds in and then the right flap folds over and tucks into the balloons on the front (which are popped up on dimensionals) to hold it in place.

joy fold card, open
sets - Happy Birthday Everyone, Endless Birthday Wishes, Caligraphy Numbers (retired)
cs - brushed gold 4-1/4" x 8-1/2", scored at 3" and 5-1/2", and scrap for sm balloon on inside

Thanks Coach Jones and Coach Billy!

Ray, my son, finished his Varsity soccer ⚽ season. Tonight is the awards banquet. These are the Z-fold thank you cards I made for the coaches.

Yeah!  I finally figured out how to get the photos off my phone.  Which is good because the picture card on my regular phone is corrupted.

Now I need to make a little insert for the boys to sign!  Usually I make a card large enough to be signed, but not so with this card!  I might just add another white 2-3/4" x 4" panel.  That would be a really easy fix.

SUPPLIES: (retired)
sets - i love soccer, so many thank
cs - concord crush, 11" x 4-1/4", scored at 2-3/4" & 5-1/2" and 2-3/4" square
       whisper white 3@ 2-1/2" x 4" and 2-1/4" square
ink - concord crush pad

SUO Challenge #140, It's time for Valentines!

Valentine Card, front

Valentine Card, inside
SUO Challenge #140, It's time for Valentines!  Stampin' Up Only (SUO) challenge is to make a Valentine, so I decided to take the challenge.  You can, too if you follow this link or the one on the right sidebar.  I decided to make one for my son, Chris, who is away at college.  It can't be too frilly.  The birds on the front represent my husband, myself and his younger brother.  I wanted to try the technique where you sponge the sky color on the TIEF before running it through the Big Shot.  However, I used no tabs instead of Tab 1, so the sky was rather faint, oh well.

I know I've been absent for awhile, but I should be posting photos of my Jan class projects soon.

sets - rose wonder, a dozen thoughts, and many more
cs - night of navy, very vanilla, blushing bride, cherry cobler
ink - night of navy and cherry cobler pads
access - sponge, big shot & the woodlands TIEF, rose garden framelits, mini glue dots, dimensionals
punches - itty bitty accents (heart), tree builder (bird)

Happy Stamping!  Mary
