Weekly Mail

Note: Post Edited - this is one of the cards I gave with the mini milk carton. It is a Side Step card that I learned how to make from Julie. We are going to make this kind of card with my Club this month. It's such a fun and easy card to make! I'll show you another version tomorrow.
Supplies:
sets - I heart hearts, a light heart (retired)
cs - lovely lilac, melon mambo, whisper white, razzleberry lemonade dp
ink - melon mabo pad and marker, lovely lilac pad, crushed curry marker
access - heart to heart, full heart and pinking hearts border punches, crurry polka dot gg ribbon, dimensionals

Ok, it's not exactly mail. I made these mini milk cartons out of vellum cardstock and am going to give them to two friends as a thank you gifts. We're going on a women's retreat with our church this weekend and they are driving. I used the Always wheel on them with pink passion ink and embossed it with clear ep. You can use classic ink on vellum and emboss because it doesn't dry quickly. I added a few butterflies with the Beautiful Wings embosslit and almost amethyst dsp. One is closed with mini library clips (it takes two to close instead of just one 1/2" library clip) and one utilizes some organdy ribbon I had in my stash. I'll be sure it's filled with yummy candy!

You can find all the supplies to make this adorable mini milk carton on Stampin Up's website. The set is Good Neighbors that I got FREE as a SAB item. I only tweaked it a tiny bit by putting the house on a layered tag instead of a circle. It's not too late to get your own free SAB item. Call me today and I will tell you how!

More Altered Textured Impression Cards

Here are more altered textured impressions cards using the Big Shot, a wooden oval frame and the Finial Textured Impressions Folder. The Finial Press Folder usually makes an all over impression, but I saw a demonstrator named Patty add a wooden oval frame to create a blank area in the middle of the card where you can stamp. Isn't that cool?

Supplies:
sets - thoughts & prayers, always, close to my heart, and well scripted
cs - whisper white, brushed metallic gold (for rings on congrats card)
ink - markers, certainly celery and chocolate chip craft pads, gold encore pad
access - big shot, finial press folder, wooden oval frame, narrow white organdy ribbon, mini glue dots, 1/2" & 3/4" circle punches (for rings on congrats card)

SAB SAS Class Cards

Here are the cards we made at my recent Sale-A-Bration (SAB) Stamp-A-Stack (SAS) Class. I love the first one, which I cased from Lynda, with just a little tweaking. It will probably be for my husband, or maybe my mom and the second one for my husband!

Please e-mail me or post a comment if you'd like the recipe for any of these cards.

Weekly Mail

This is a card I sent to Dave's cousin Jeff, who just had a baby girl. It's actually something I had in my stash and all the sets are retired, but isn't it pretty cute? My mom and I saw a card with this sentiment on it a couple years ago. I printed the sentiment and then added the images with some stamps. I don't remember what the image on the original card was. Cheryl and I got together last Friday. I'll post those cards soon.

Aissa's Workshop Card

Here's a card we made at Aissa's workshop last February. She wanted the card recipe for it, so here you go Aissa! It uses an emboss resist technique. We stamped the flowers on front with pigment ink and clear embossed them. Next we stamped the French Script background and the flowers resisted the ink. We didn't even need to mask them! It's a really easy technique to try. The edges are torn and sponged to give some texture.

The sentiment on the inside is from Wow Flowers. Normally it's $13.95 but you can get it Free as an SAB item! The two tone effect on the inside flowers is just from stamping off on some of them.

Post a comment and link back to me if you try this card (or technique). tfl

Supplies:
set - wow flowers, petal pizzaz, french script
cs - close to cocoa card base, ruby red, whisper white
ink - ruby red craft pad & classic pad, pumpkin pie craft pad, cameo coral craft pad, close to cocoa classic pad
access - sponges, 1/16" handheld punch, fire circle rhinestone brads, clear embossing powder, heat tool

Happy Stamping!

More Samples from Inkerbelles' Meeting

These are more sample cards from the Inkerbelles' meeting I attended last Saturday. Cheri demoed the Perfect Polka Dots Texture Impressions folder and some ways it can be used. I love the house card. She impressed the dots on a plain old piece of chipboard, added some Sweet Pea felt pieces, dp, ribbon and a scallop trim punched border to the roof line. What an adorable card! She also showed how you can run the felt pieces through the folder. Just add a little starch to them and let them dry first.

3-D Items from Inkerbelles Meeting

Here are a couple 3-D items from the Inkerbelles' meeting I attended last Sat that show off items from the new Occasions Mini and the new Decore Elements brochure.
The first is a new white frame that's available from the Decore Elements brochure. The chocolate chip image is a decore element, the adorable felt flowers are from the Sweet Pea collection in the Occasions mini (items available until March 31st). Isn't that satin ribbon just yummy? The pink corduroy brads add so much texture and are adorable (they're also available in red).
The heart chipboard book, from the mini, is covered with the Sweet Pea pack of dp and decorated with chocolate 1/4" epoxy brads, images from the Vintage Vogue set, satin ribbon, & butterflies cut out with the Beatiful Wings embosslit.
Tomorrow I'll show more samples from the Inkerbelles' meeting and next week I'll show what we created in my Stamp Therapy with the Big Shot class as well as the cards we made in my SAB SAS. Don't forget to check back!
