CAS SAS Cards

Happy Butterfly
Clean And Simple (CAS) Stamp A Stack (SAS).  I enjoy CAS cards.  I've wanted to do this class since last summer!

I copied the above card from someone on the internet, and just changed the sentiment.  It was super easy! and probably one of the quickest cards.

Just Smile
I've seen a lot of cards using the Gorgeous Grunge set.  I added a punched sun with sunglasses made with the wing from the bird punch and hand drew on it's smile.  It was only natural to add the SMILE sentiment (from the Happy Day set)!  We also had the option of adding a greeting from Sassy Salutations on the inside.

5 Butterflies
The above card was copied/inspired by ?  I don't remember who's it was.  My friend Cheryl thought the white butterflies needed some texture, so that was an option.

Elegant Butterfly - Cathy H's
Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit
Everyone made two each of the butterfly and sun cards and three of the Hooray for Cards Kit.  The card kit cards were all different.  This kit is an excellent deal.  You get everything to make 20 cards for only  $19.95!  It includes an ink spot, the clear mount stamps, a clear block, note cards and envelopes, dimensionals, twine, self adhesive printed pieces, clips, easy directions with photos.  You'll even have some leftovers!

Stamping Fun Class Cards and SUO Challenge #94

Coaster Board Butterfly Card
This first card I copied from my upline, with a few changes.  The coaster board comes in 6x12" sheets.  I stamped all over the sheet first with Everything Eleanor and Happy Day sets with coastal cabana, crushed curry, crisp cantaloupe and strawberry slush ink.  Then I cut the sheets into 3x4" pieces that could be run through the big shot with the Beautiful Butterflies die.

Masculine Birthday Card
I copied this next card from a swap I received at Convention last July.  It uses the Soho Subway dsp.  I love The Wetlands set because it comes with both images and greetings.  It also is a great set to use for masculine cards. The Simply Scored tool (score every 1/4" across the front) adds great texture.

Banner Blast meets Retro Fresh
I love the Retro Fresh dsp and washi tape from the occasions catalog.  I actually designed this card and am so pleased with how it turned out!

Easter Card
I cased this card from p. 15 of the Occasions catalog with a few changes.  I love that little bunny!  I cut the eggs apart from the greeting so they could be stamped separately more easily.  It also fits SUO's Easter Challenge.  Pop over to their website, linked on my right hand side bar, to get some great ideas.

March Club and Class, 3x3" Box

3x3" cards and box holder
We made these adorable boxes and cards last month.  My friend Cathy showed me how to make them.  I developed a direction sheet.  I discovered you can make 2 boxes each holding 8 cards and envelopes using:
  • one 12x12" sheet of designer series paper (DSP).   We used the SAB, Sweet Sorbet DSP.
  • two sheets 12x12" card stock (for the 8 card bases)
  • two sheets 8.5x11" colored card stock
  • scraps of neutral card stock
  • 16 mini sq envelopes
  • variety of punches, ink (A Round Array and Teeny Tiny Wishes work well)
  • large cello bag and ribbon to tie it up
I used Midnight Muse to make some additional boxes of cards as gifts.

Great Gift

Box of 3x3" Cards from Cathy

3x3" Cards
I got this great box of little cards this past Christmas from my friend and fellow demonstrator, Cathy H.  I asked her to show me how to make them so I could teach my customers.  They are so versatile and make great little gifts!  Cathy made two each of the four cards shown.  You could actually fit more in the box or add some Ghiradelli chocolate squares!  SU used to sell the gusseted bag she used, but they are retired now.  However, I discovered that our large  cellophane bags work!

Scalloped Tag Topper Box

Open and Closed Versions

Stamped with Eggstra Spectacular set
I want to thank a fellow SU demonstrator, Heidi Weaver, for sharing her creative use of the scallop tag topper punch.  She gives directions on how to make these adorable boxes here.  I used Pistacio Pudding cs/ink/ribbon, Very Vanilla cs, and some scraps of Venetian Romance dsp to create mine.  They would be perfect for holding a little Easter treat!

from Shelagh
I should have posted this on St Patrick's Day!  Oh well.  Isn't it cute?  How creative to make a rainbow with sponged ink.  I'll have to remember that one!

Watercolor Wonder Note Card #1
I love the way these note cards are pre-printed on watercolor paper! The zigzaggy lines are pre-printed and the vases image is stamped.  You get four each of five designs.
Watercolor Wonder Note Card #2
The green water colored background is the beginning point for this simple card and the stamped image you can earn free as a sale-a-bration item.  It's stamped on and framed with the deco label framelits.

Easy Valentine treat holder made using the scalloped tag topper.

Sweetie Pie Frames

There's a new photopoymer stamp set available called "Sweetie Pie Frames".  The new photopolymer stamps are great.  They will be in the new catalog and will come in their own DVD case!  Currently they don't come in a DVD case, so if you get a set, I would recommend also getting a blank case to put it in.  See the links on the right hand side bar to view all the sets.
