That thank you saying is so fitting! Pat and Peggy spent 8 or 9 hours helping me make nearly 70 cards for my Convention swaps.  Lunch, a small prize and a thank you card hardly seems enough for the time they spent helping me.  We did have a good time.

Convention 2013 - My Swap

Convention 2013, my general swap

Here's my general swap for Convention.  I was inspired by a card in our Stampin' Success magazine, but it used Basic Grey and Very Vanilla. .  I wanted to use a little color and my new ribbon.  Pat and Peggy were a HUGE help in producing 40 card fronts!  Tomorrow I'll post the card I sent to thank them.

Supplies:
sets - By the Tide, Teeny Tiny Wishes
cs - Bermuda Bay, 5-1/2" x 4-1/4"
       Basic Back, 4-15/16" x 3-11/16" and 1-3/8" square
       Whisper White, 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" and -1/4" circles
ink - Bermuda Bay pad
access - 5-1/4" Bermuda Bay taffeta ribbon, dimensionals, 1-1/4" circle punch

Inkerbelles Convention Swap

My Swap for the Inkerbelles group at Convention 2013

I'm so excited for Convention!  Here's my swap for our Inkerbelle's group.  Tami hosts a great dinner and we all swap cards.  I'm so thankful for Pat and Peggy who helped me make 29 of this card!  They also helped me produce 40 of another swap, that I'll show you tomorrow.

I was inspired by this card.  I really liked her use of the Modern Mosaic TIEF and the pearls for bubbles.  Overall I prefer my design.  What do you think?

Shoebox Event

Door Prize

Last Thursday I held a Shoebox Event.  We all had a great time making each others' cards.  Click Here to learn more about this event.  Everyone got to pick a door prize.  Each little "bag" held a different retired embellishment.  So fun!  Now I have some room on my Stack and Store Caddy for new embellishments!

Mary's Second Card

 I was inspired by this card that my friend, Shelagh, gave to me.  I love this new hostess set, Morning Meadow.  I used Island Indigo and Soft Sky, Quatrafancy Specialty dsp, and the scrumptious retired SAB ribbon

Cathy Hostetler's Card

 I love the simplicity of Cathy's card.  She used one of my favorite new sets, the Wetlands.  Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake are great colors to combine.

Peggy McDonald's Card

 This card was so elegant!  It used the Summer Silhouettes set which is very easy to stamp.  We ran card stock through the Big Shot 7 times!  Pat brought her new magnetic platform so it was a cinch to use the various framelits and edgelits and gave us lots of practice.

Pat Schulte's Card

 Pat's card was beautiful as well.  It used another new, great hostess set called "Simply Sketched."  She chose colors (Melon Mambo and Garden Green - I think) based on the Gingham Garden dsp that is incorporated into her card.

Susie Homer's Card

Susie's card was pure fun punching circles and ovals to create the unique flower! We chose our greeting from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.  The colors she used were So Saffron, Marina Mist, Whisper White and Wild Wasabi.

Happy 15th Ray - Birthday Ray!

Ray - 15 years old

This is a "You Cam" shot of my son, and not the most flattering, but it's ok.  He's a great son and I love him.  I made his card months ago, but didn't photograph it!

Note: ok, I just photographed it (see below).

Did you know "mustaches" are "in",  Last year Ray got mustache pajama bottoms and a mustache key chain that said,  "You look marvelous" when you pushed a button on it.  So I just had to incorporate a mustache on his card and A Fitting Occasion set has one in it!
