And the Winner is....

Prize - Happenings Simply Created Card Kit, p.102
I placed an order recently and raffled off two things.  Kim won the hostess benefits ($30 worth of product!) and Roxie won the Happenings Simply Created Card Kit (pictured above).  The kit has supplies to make 15 cards for only $14.95!

Vacaville Shoebox- Cards We Made

Olive's Card - my favorite
Isn't this just beautiful?  I'll be C.A.S.E.'ing it for sure!  I'll have to make a few substitutions for images I don't have.  Olive said she also made it in purple (Wisteria Wonder maybe) and it also looked good.

Mary Jone's Zipper card - the winner I think
This is the first time I saw a "zipper" card.  The card base is cut with the rotary arm and a perforation blade above and below the blue dsp.  When you are ready to send the card, you seal it.  Then the recipient pulls the tab that says "pull" and unzips it open!
Mary Jone's Zipper card, unsealed
I love the Endless Wishes photopolymer set.  Hopefully it will be available again soon.

Flip Card

Flip Card, belly band removed
I like when "flip" cards are made with an additional panel on which to write.

Denise's Card?
I'll have to C.A.S.E. a version of these cards, too (above and below). The new sequins are so much fun to use!  I love when you can punch out pieces.

Monica's Card
Monica punched out flowers and hearts with the new Itty Bitty Accents punch pack from the new Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.  Then she colored them with the new Blendabilities markers.  Cool!

Cheryl Gray's Card
Cheryl's card uses an interesting color combo that works well together!

Work of Art Card, flower
I love this unique use of the set - a flower from the heart!

Work of Art Card, Easel
What a cute "easel" on which to depict this "work of art".

Work of Art Card,  with bookmark
Work of Art Card,  with bookmark removed
The pocket for the bookmark is easy to make using DSP. You only need to use snail because the bookmark is so lightweight.   The bookmark is made from the Moonlight DSP, too.

My Card
I like how the new In Colors (IC) all work so well together.

SUPPLIES (my card):
set - Thoughts and Prayers
cs - 4-1/4"x11" whisper white. blackberry bliss, tangelo twist, hello honey, lost lagoon. mossy meadow scraps for flowers
ink - basic black pad
access - 16" mossy meadow ribbon (it's wonderful to work with!), petite petals punch, mini glue dots (to attach flowers), pearls

These are the cards we made, except a couple.  I didn't have time to make all the cards and I didn't even get photos!  Hope you enjoy them!

Vacaville Shoebox - My Winnings!

My Winnings!

Bag in a Box from Cheryl Gray
This box was made from the new Lullaby paper with the Envelope Punch Board (EPB).  I got the directions and can't wait to make my own!
Filled with Candy!  Mmmmm
Box from Cheryl Gray
This box was made from the beautiful, but sadly retired, Waterfall paper withe the EPB and the scalloped tag topper.  I don't have directions, but hope to figure it out.
Filled with Candy!  Mmmmm
We get raffle tickets: one if your card is picked as everyone's favorite, one for each door prize that you bring, and one for doing a demonstration.   The winner gets to pick first, then names are drawn.  So you don't always get your first choice.  My first choice would have been the Moonlight Paper Stack.  Oh well, I still came out with some good loot!

I made three door prizes (the limit) and did two demos.  I got Two Adorable Boxes filled with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups - those won't last long! LOL.  I also got Jumbo Sticky Rounds, the Perfect Dots TIEF, White Cotton Ribbon, and Write On Mini Magnet Boards.

Cute Wall Art Frame - 9x9" I think
Here are a few of the Displays.  I'll show more, door prizes and cards etc, next week, so keep checking back!

Thoughts and Prayers

Sympathy Card with Envelope

Sympathy Card

Envelope
Unfortunately, sympathy cards seem to be the type of card I need most these days.  I sent one to my cousin last week that I didn't photograph.  This one was for my husband's uncle who lost his wife.  I had an extra piece of dsp that I adhered to the envelope flap.  Then I trimmed it to the shape of the flap.  It was so easy and looks good, don't you think?

SUPPLIES:
sets - thoughts and prayers
cs - very vanilla, wild wasabi, sweet sorbet dsp (retired SAB)
ink - wild wasabi pad, baked brown sugar marker
access - linen thread, extra large oval punch, dimensionals, natural buttons (retired), mini glue dots
