Happy 50th Anniversary!

Remember the card I posted from last month's club?  Well, I changed it up a little to give to my aunt and uncle for their 50th wedding anniverssary.  The only new supply was a gold Encore pad and the brushstroke numbers set.

I'll post our May club cards in a couple days.

Retired Lists Available

The retired lists are available, as of yesterday!  To make room in the new 2013-2014 catalog Stampin' Up! "retires" much of their current product.  This year they have put out their stamp list as well as the accessories list and the accessories are available only while supplies last.   Stamps will be available until the new catalog goes live on May 31, 2013.  That means you get to see the new catalog before you decide to order a retiring stamp set!  The accessories are only available while supplies last and some items are already gone!  You can call or e-mail me your order, or shop online (see the link in the right hand column).

April Club, Double Slider Cards

Double Slider Cards

Double Slider Cards, open

Double Slider Cards, inside, before sealing

Double Slider Cards, front, without main image attached
Double Slider Cards are fun to produce!  We made them in my April Club.  When you pull up a front slider pops up from behind the main image and a larger back slider pops up from the inside.

The dimensions of the sliders can be adjusted to accommodate your greetings/images.

You start with a piece of 4-1/4" x 11" card stock that is scored at 5-1/2".  However, the fold is at the bottom of the card instead of at the top so that the back slider (which is on the inside) can be pulled up and the front slider comes out simultaneously.  I like to punch a hole through the card front and back to make it easier to pull up the slider.  I don't really show the mechanics of the word window holes that are punched in the card front and to which the sliders are attached.  You can find a great picture tutorial on Split Coast Stampers.  You can view the first double slider cards I made here, and here. and here, etc. (on p.3 of my SCS Gallery)

Spring Technique Cards

All Four Technique Class Cards
Fold-over DSP Card
I love fold over DSP cards because you get to see both sides of the dsp.  I originally learned this layout from my upline, Tami Waddell, who has been a demo for 20 years!
I changed the dimensions of the dsp a little so I could maximize the number of cards I could get from a single sheet of dsp.

"Punny" Card
I love this very "punny" card, but can't take the credit for the idea.  I was inspired by this card.  I didn't feel like printing the greeting, so I pulled out an old alphabet set instead.  Now I have the Designer Typeset photo polymer set, which would have been perfect!

Supplies:
sets- delightful dozen, spring sampler, little letters (retired)
cs- 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" wild wasabi, 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" floral district dsp, 3-3/4" x 5" whisper white (guts) and scraps. colored scraps for punching: wasabi, marina, tangerine, black.
ink pads- wild wasabi, marina mist, tangerine tango and basic black
access- 1" and 1-1/4" circle punch, 1" square punch ( to make "flag" ends), dimensionals

Easter Card #1, or Sympathy Card
See this post for card details/recipe.
Customers also had the option of making this card a sympathy card by changing the inside greeting to one from the set "Thoughts and Prayers."

Wow, I go away for a few days and miss all the fun!  Stampin' Up! had free shipping over the weekend, which a few people took advantage of online.  SU! also is refreshing their colors!  I think it's exciting and am happy about most of the changes.  Click on the link in my side bar for the changes.
