Shadow Box Card |
These shadow box cards are really easy to make. The cards fold flat to mail in a regular envelope. Check back tomorrow to see a Valentine version!
- Start with two pieces of 4.25" x 5.5" cs
- Score at 0.5" and 1" from each end. Or if you are using your Simply Scored tool, place the 5.5" edge at the top and score at 0.5", 1", 4.5" and 5".
- Between the inner score lines ~ Cut an opening in the front piece. Stamp a scene on the back piece
- Then add sticky strip on the outer 0.5" tabs on the left and right sides of either the front or back piece
- Pre-fold the score lines so that they create a "shadow box" effect
- Attach the front and back together. This is easiest if you only remove the protective liner of the sticky strip on one side at a time

Vintage Card, inside
I used the borders scoring plate and the Simply Scored tool to add texture to the card front and the inside.
To create the chalkboard effect on the banner, simply emboss your greeting with white ep on black cs; then tap a little white craft ink onto the cs to look like chalk dust.
