This is a very simple sympathy card I made for a friend who's father passed away. I used the tree image from Thoughts & Prayers and the sentiment is from Petite Pairs. The card stock colors are whisper white and baja breeze. Ink is pear pizzazzz. Accessories are the Big Shot, Beautiful Wings embosslit, scallop rectangle clearlit, designer frames embosssing folder, mini glue dots and the dotted scallop ribbon punch.

New Catalog Open House

Both cards use the new stamp set called Betsy's Blossoms. This card also uses a sentiment from Curly Cute. I really like this card layout because it shows both sides of the (Floral District) dsp. The sentiment is stamped in rich razzleberry, and the blossom image is embossed with whisper white. I love the white organza ribbon because it is so versatile!

The sentiment on this card is from In Pursuit of Happiness. The Bigz Oval Accents is a great palette for the many images from Betsy's Blossoms. Colors are wild wasabi, marina mist, raspberry ripple, starfruit and primrose petals, plus white and crumb cake card stock and daffodil delight seam binding.

Don't miss out! Make these two fabulous cards for FREE at my New Catalog Open House on Sun, June 3, 2012.

Masculine May Club

This month I decided to make masculine cards for Club.

I can't remember where I got the pattern for the little origami shirt on this first card. I've made it lots of times. Recently I made it for my son's basketball coach (I'll have to post a photo of that card). He always has the boys come to the games dressed up with ties so I thought it would be cute.
Colors: night of navy, daffodil delight and old olive
I texturized the card base using the Big Shot and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen. The Happy Father's Day greeting on the card below is from that set also.

I saw this tutorial by Susan Carlson a year ago and wanted to make it in a class ever since! I used Peach Parfait dsp since it will be retiring, and adapted my directions to use the Simply Scored Tool. It's really a fairly simple card. Susan has a pretty good tutorial, so I won't re-create the wheel.

Basketball Thank You Card

My son's frosh basketball coach always had the team dress in ties on game days, so I thought this would be an appropriate thank you card or him. It uses Concord Crush card stock and designer paper.
