Prize Time Afternoon Make-n-take

This is one of the cards we made in the afternoon at Prize Time.  It uses SAB DSP and the ribbon and button accessory pack.  I had to leave early so I didn't get to make the other cards.

We made these cards at Prize Time in the morning also.  They are from the Hooray It's Your Day project kit in the Occasions catalog.  It has supplies to make 20 cards (5 each of 4 designs) for only  $24.95!  It uses the spritzing technique on patterned DSP that resists ink.

Prize Time Gift - Book marker

This lovely embossed book marker was given to me at our last demo get together by a sideline.

Tami, my up line, gave us a bounty of merchandise including:   the "Hooray It's Your Day" card kit, Irresistibly Yours SAB DSP, and Stacked with Love washi tape!  Plus we did lots of make-n-takes and she provided lunch and dessert.  Thanks Tami!

I saw Marquee cards on Jan Tink's blog back in 2009.  I always wanted to make one, but never seemed to get around to it.  Then I saw a version of it on Dawn Olchefske's blog.  Her video made it look so easy that I thought I'd give it a try.  I want to try one using sticky strip on the inside (like Jan's) instead of dimentionals (like Dawn's), so the card will close better.

I realized that I had to embed the heart on the inside or the "curtains" would get caught on it.  I tried the little heart punch from the itty bitty accents punch pack, but it didn't reach far enough to center it.  So I used the smallest heart from the hearts framelits instead.

My bro, a professional photographer, came and took a family photo Jan 3rd.  Chris is a high school senior this year and Ray is a junior!   I'm sad that our time together is soon coming to a close.
