September Club, Sponged Tile Technique

Gladys Landon's Card
Glady's card won first place when I went to our Stampy Wacker's Shoebox swap in August.  My customers loved it and wanted to learn what I am calling the "sponged tile" technique.  So we made the card at my September club.

SUPPLIES:
sets- stippled blossoms, four you
cs- very vanilla, crisp cantaloupe
ink - pear pizzazz pad, crisp cantaloupe pad
access- big shot, finishing touches framelits & perfect polka dots TIEF, sponge, rhinestones, dimensionals, postage stamp punch (used inside)

6 x 6" Square DSP
Envelope holds a 3" x 4" card
We practiced the sponged background technique on a 8-1/8" square of grid paper (on the blank side) and then practiced using the new envelope punch board to create an envelope for an A-2 size card.  Then we used a 6x6" piece of retired DSP to create an envelope for a 3x4" card.

These are sympathy cards my friend Cathy and I C.A.S.E.'d from a swap she received at Convention.  I made some envelopes using the new punch board.  It's so easy!  You start with an 8-1/8" square of paper to make an envelope for an A-2 size (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") card.

Happy Birthday Lauren!

Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Holder

Today is my friend and neighbor's birthday!

Yesterday was our neighborhood's annual Tomatomania Party.  Lauren is the one who started it.  The "commisioner" purchases tomatoes and all the participants plant them and try to grow the best tomatoes.  At the end of summer we get together to see who wins, share appetizers, etc.

Back to the card.  All the neighbors chipped in to get Lauren a gift card to her favorite spa (gc not shown in photo).  I offered to make the card.

I couldn't wait to make a gc holder using my new envelope punch board inspired by this card by Jackie Topas.

SUPPLIES:
sets - Bring on the Cake
cs - raspberry ripple, very vanilla, bermuda bay, birthday basics dsp
ink - raspberry ripple pad
access -  birthday candles jumbo wheel, bermuda bay taffeta ribbon, green glue
tools - envelope punch board, big shot and deco label framelits, scallop border punch

Cool New Tool!

The COOL Envelope Punch Board is available today!  Click HERE to watch a video showing a demonstration of it's use.  Click on the link in my right side bar to download the flyer listing it's features.  It costs only $19.95, is lightweight, and convenient (not too big, built in extensive  env chart/paper sizes, directions and stylus).

I got mine last week (one of the perks of being a demonstrator is getting to preorder new product).  It is really fun and easy to use!  Now I can use up some of that stash of dsp!

Tomorrow I'll show you a fun gift card holder I made with it.  It's got more uses than just making envelopes!

Recognition Room
I hit a career milestone this year!  I sold $100,000 so I got a $1,000 bonus, a special pin, and access to a special room at Convention!  There were big, comfy couches, drinks, stamping and CHOCOLATE in the recognition room.  Plus I got to walk across the main stage (2nd photo at top).

Mary, ME, Wins Prize!
I finally won a prize patrol at my third convention.  EVERYONE won a prize patrol this year.  SU was very generous.
